Its official, SA Eshop / Braai Meat cooks for BBC News presenter Mike Bushell. Ferdi and I had the privilege to cook up a truly South African Breakfast, for one of the nicest television presenters we have ever meet. Mike Bushell whilst doing a story on the recent Outdoor Lifesyle show, joined us for breakfast South African style.
The event was filmed prior to the actual show, this was all pretty difficult with the wind and dust and the braai, but “a boer maak a plan” By the time he got to us he and his camera man were very hungry, and they "plus the extras" wasted no time tucking into the heap of spare ribs, boerewors, pap, sous, chicken flatties, koeksusters, melktart, ouma rusks on display for them.
Mike was very nice and certainly made up for our long wait with his compliments on Ferdi’s cooking. He certainly made sure to clear his very full plate. The extras made quick work of the spare ribs, and one of the PR company crew fell in love with our Koeksisters.
All in all, a great experience.
