Its official, SA Eshop / Braai Meat cooks for BBC News presenter Mike Bushell. Feri and I had the privilege to cook up a truly South African Breakfast, for one of the nicest television presenters we have ever meet. Mike Bushell whilst doing a story on the recent Outdoor Lifesyle show, joined us for breakfast South African style. The event was filmed prior to the actual show, Ferdi and I spent just over 5 hours waiting for Mike to make his way to us, as he was also filming the various outdoor challenges that were at the event. By the time he got to us he and his camera man were "well" hungry, and they "plus the extras" wasted no time tucking into the heap of spare ribs, boerewors, pap, sous, chicken flatties, koeksusters, melktart, ouma rusks on display for them.
Mike was very nice and certainly made up for our long wait with his compliments on Ferdis cooking and his wiping his very full plate completely clean. The extras made quick work of the spare ribs, and one of the PR company crew fell in love with our Koeksisters.
